As you may know, we’ve replaced our print server with a more modern and secure system known as Papercut. There are a few steps you will need to take in order to continue printing at Lab. Once you have updated the installed printers on your computer, you can continue to print as you have in the past, but you will also have a new option, "Mobility Printing". This will allow you to install one printer on your device, head to any of the designated printers (see below), and release the print job with your ID. Some of our printers will even allow you to scan directly to your Google Drive.
This message has links to everything you need to get up and running with our new Papercut Print server.
If you are new to Lab, start with Adding Mobility Print to your computer and work from down there.

Associating your Lab ID with the new system.
The first time you want to use one of the Mobility Print printers, you will need to associate your Lab Google account with your Lab ID badge. This is the same procedure as when you first "tapped in" to one of these printers, but now you will be able to use your Lab Google username and password. As before, subsequent visits to the printer will remember your credentials. More detailed information is here Associate your ID Badge.pdf. NOTE: Not all printers that used to require authentication still do. Signage at the device will indicate if it does.
Printing with papercut
Print to the Mobility Print fleet:
Printing to the Mobility Print printer queue is just like printing to any other printer. Just choose Mobility_Print as your destination, go to any Mobility Printer Printers with Mobility Print.docx, tap your badge, and release your print job. More detailed information is here Printing.pdf.
Print directly to an individual printer you have added:
This is the familiar process of selecting the printer to which you want to print. The print job will proceed as expected.
Making copies
You can make copies as before, but the interface will differ slightly. There will be step-by-step instructions at each machine since we have two different types. You can see these instructions Making Copies.pdf.
