Computer Screen Locks
One of the goals of Information Systems (IS) is to keep your device and the information on that device safe, as well as follow best practices that are outlined by the University's IT service department. To ensure we meet these goals, IS has put a policy into place to lock your computer after 15 minutes of inactivity. The purpose of locking your computer is to prevent unwanted access to your information. When your computer locks, it does not turn off. It stays on and leaves it just like you left it. Classroom and office iMacs will lock after 30 minutes of inactivity or 1 hour upon request.
